Hardwood decking around a log cabin

Around a log cabin I built a deck from hardwood deck boards. In front of the cabin and under the canopy there was only a sandy base beforehand, while that is exactly where you want to walk and sit somewhere dry and level.

First I built a sturdy substructure of joists on paving slabs, so the deck lies level and stable. On top of that I cut the hardwood deck boards precisely to size and fitted them level, right up to the wall of the cabin and around the posts of the canopy.

The result is a durable, low-maintenance deck that will last for years and connects neatly to the log cabin. Hardwood is strong by nature, so this deck can take some wear and tear. For custom work outdoors like this, you can call or message me too.
