Made-to-measure loft bed for a child's room

For a child's room I built a made-to-measure loft bed. The aim was to make the most of the space: a place to sleep up top and room to work and play underneath.

I started with a sturdy timber frame of beams and a board floor, made to fit this room. A railing and ladder made from scaffold tube were then added, robust and durable. Underneath the loft bed I made a generous desk top, with a dressing table and a long worktop by the window.

The result is a complete sleeping area with a robust, durable look, tailored entirely to the room. There is now space to sleep, work and play in one room. Do you have an idea for custom work too? I am happy to think it through with you.
