Staircase painting Arnhem
In Arnhem I repainted a staircase with a quarter turn from top to bottom, because the owner was not happy with the colour. The staircase had been painted dark grey and the paint on the edges of the treads was badly worn.
First I sanded the whole staircase and applied primer. I then filled every hole with 2-component epoxy and sealed the joints with acrylic sealant. A second coat of primer followed, which I sanded down fully again. Finally the staircase was given three coats of stair lacquer with anti-slip, sanded between each coat. That preparation is exactly what keeps a painted staircase looking good for longer.
The result is a light, crisp staircase that looks better than when the house was first handed over. The wooden handrail along the wall now stands out far more against the light staircase. Painting a staircase is usually charged at an hourly rate plus materials, depending on the condition of your stairs.
