In Austerlitz I laid a herringbone laminate floor in a light oak colour. A light herringbone floor adds warmth and character to a room, without making the space feel dark.

The classic herringbone pattern calls for precise setting out, so it runs straight through the room and finishes neatly along the walls and the mirrored wardrobe. I laid the floor tightly and finished the edges cleanly. Laminate is hard-wearing and easy to maintain, and the herringbone pattern still gives you the look of a classic wooden floor.
