What is it?
Custom interior joinery by RenovaStairs
Interior joinery is custom work that fits exactly where it goes. I make under-stair storage, meter cupboard makeovers, loft beds with a desk underneath and cupboards, among other things, and I fit loft ladders. Outdoors I also lay hardwood decking.
A good example is a meter cupboard in a 1930s house, which I concealed behind panels, classic mouldings and small hatches. The fuse box stays accessible, but the hallway gets the character that suits the house. Custom under-stair storage turns the space under your stairs into useful storage.
Because I also do stairs and floors, I look beyond a single item. Cupboard, stairs and floor then fit together beautifully.

My approach
From idea to custom work in your home
Tell me what you have in mind, with a sketch, a photo or simply in words. I visit, look at the space, think along about materials and layout and measure up myself. You then receive a clear, tailored quotation.
I build and fit the custom work myself, with a cabinetmaker's precision. With a loft bed I make sure the structure is sturdy, with a meter cupboard that the hatches open easily. That way you have one point of contact from start to finish.
